Marlene B. Lang, Ph.D. is Asst. Professor of Religious Studies at Mount St. Joseph University.
Her doctoral dissertation is a social analysis that asks what the newest generation of indigenous Americans is speaking to a wider, dominant culture that has not listened well, if at all, in the past.
Prior to her pursuit of practical theology, Marlene Lang was a columnist and editor for the Daily Southtown in Chicago, now the SouthtownStar. As a reporter she covered prisons and the nuclear power industry, as well as municipal and county governments.

From 2012-17 she taught social justice and theology at Catholic high schools.
